India vs South Africa T20I Series Schedule: India and South Africa are set to face off in a five-match T20I series, which is scheduled to start on Tuesday, December 9. The first will be played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack with both teams aiming to put their best foot forward and take the upper hand.

Suryakumar Yadav will be leading the Indian team, whereas South Africa are being captained by senior batter Aiden Markram. South Africa won the Test series 2-0 on the back of a dominating performance before India bounced back with a 2-1 victory in the three-match ODI series. India will see the return of vice-captain Shubman Gill, who has received fitness clearance after recovering from his neck injury.

Notably, Shubman missed the second Test in Guwahati before remaining on the sidelines for the three-match ODI series. Both teams reached Odisha on Sunday, and reports claimed that Gill arrived at the venue after a complete recovery of his neck issue, which he sustained during the first Test in Kolkata.

On Saturday, India head coach Gautam Gambhir confirmed that Gill is fit for international cricket. "Yes, Shubman is ready to start. That's why he has been selected. He is fit, fine, and hungry to go." Another big name returning to the fold will be Hardik Pandya. The star all-rounder has been sidelined since the Asia Cup triumph in September, as he missed the Australia tour due to a quadricep injury.
