The Women in Blue are entering this series on the back of winning the T20I series by 2-1, where Smriti Mandhana went on a record-breaking spree as she scored three consecutive fifties. The hosts also registered their highest-ever T20I score of 217/4, where Richa Ghosh scored the joint-fastest half-century off 18 balls.

As far as the upcoming ODI series is concerned, the Indian team management has included Delhi batter Pratika Rawal into the squad, who was also the second-highest run-getter of the last season of the Senior Women's One-Day trophy. She had scored 411 runs after playing in eight matches at a brilliant average of 68.50 and a strike rate of 91.94.

India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur didn't feature in the last two T20Is and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana rose up to the occasion. It would be interesting to see if she recovers well in time for the ODI series, which will begin on Sunday.

At the same time, West Indies would be without their ex-captain Stefanie Taylor, who hasn't recovered from a knee injury that she picked up during the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup.

Deandra Dottin would be playing in this format for the first time ever since she reversed her decision to retire. Wicket-keepers Rashada Williams and Shabika Gajnabi, who didn't play in the Women's T20 World Cup, have returned to the national squad.
