IND-W vs SL-W 5th T20I: India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur on Tuesday 0reated history as she leveled Mithali Raj's record of winning the Player Of The Match award the most times in the shortest format.

In her 23-year-long career between 1999 and 2022, Mithali had played in 89 T20I matches, where she had won 12 POTM awards, and now Harmanpreet has also won 12 POTM awards after playing in 187 T20I matches.

Harmanpreet had scored a match-winning knock of 68 runs and was adjudged the Player of the Match award. She came in to bat at the No.4 position and had smashed 9 fours and 1 six in her knock of 43 balls.

She helped the host make a brilliant comeback as they were reeling at 27/2 in 4.1 overs and posted a respectable target of 175/7, and won the match by 15 runs.

In her innings, she had stitched a partnership of 61 runs for the sixth wicket with Amanjot Kaur, who had scored 21 runs off 18 balls.

The host had high expectations from Shafali Varma for the last T20I, but she failed to fire with the bat. She did have a chance to become the highest run scorer in this format, but got out in the second over itself as she had scored just 5 runs off 6 balls.

This was the Women in Blue's last match of 2025, where Shafali won the Player Of The Series award.
