Australia enters the contest as the No. 1 ranked T20I side in women's cricket, also boasting of a superior 23 wins of the 31 matches between the two teams. The teams faced off in the 2023 ICC T20 World Cup semi-finals, where Australia won by five runs on their way to capturing their sixth crown as T20I champions.
