India women vs Australia women 3rd ODI match: Australia's senior batter Beth Mooney scripted history during the third and final ODI match against India women at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, September 20.
Mooney has smashed the second-fastest century in women's ODI history. She came out to bat at No. 4 for Australia in the decisive match and took just 57 balls to reach her century. She has hammered 16 fours and 1 six so far.
Mooney crossed the 100-run mark by hitting Radha Yadav for a four on the second ball of the 38th over of Australia’s innings. She added 82 runs for the fourth wicket with Ashleigh Gardner (39 runs from 24 balls).

The record of scoring the fastest century in Women’s ODIs is in the name of former Australian captain Meg Lanning. During the Australia vs New Zealand match played in North Sydney on December 17, 2012, Lanning took just 45 balls to reach the 100-run mark.

The left-handed batter Mooney had also stitched a 1o6-run partnership with legendary all-rounder Ellyse Perry for the third wicket. The latter also played an impactful knock of 68 runs in 72 balls.
Mooney went on to play a memorable knock of 138 runs in 75 balls with the help of 23 fours and a six. Georgia Voll also came up with an important contribution of 81 runs in 68 balls. Australia ended up posting a mammoth total of 412 runs before they were bowled out in 47.5 overs.
For India, Arundhati Reddy was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, whereas Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma found a couple of scalps each.
