India women vs Australia women 3rd ODI match: Smriti Mandhana continued his remarkable form with the bat as she entered the record books on the back of a memorable effort during the third and final ODI match between India women and Australia women in Delhi on Saturday.
Mandhana smashed the fastest half-century for India women in ODI history, reaching the milestone in just 23 balls. Her effort came during India's run chase of 413 runs in the decisive match.
Before Mandhana, the record of scoring the fastest 50 for India in WODIs was in the name of Richa Ghosh. During the India-New Zealand match in Queenstown, Ghosh crossed the 50-run mark in 26 balls. The world record for scoring the fastest 50 in WODIs is in the name of West Indies batter Deandra Dottin. Dottin crossed the 50-run mark in just 20 balls against Sri Lanka in Mumbai.
