India women vs South Africa women match: South Africa women won the toss and opted to bowl first against India women in the match 10 of the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2025 at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. The toss was delayed for an hour due to rain interruption.
After suffering a defeat in their tournament opener, South Africa came up with an improved effort and defeated New Zealand in their previous match. They will be aiming to continue with their impressive form and remain alive in the race for the knockout stage. Despite rain expected to be around, SA skipper Laura Wolvaardt was hopeful for the wicket to remain a high-scoring surface. They came up with just one change as Tumi Sekhukhune came in for Klaas.
"We're going to have a bowl first today, obviously a bit of rain around, so hopefully there's a bit of movement up early. Looks like a very nice wicket, hopefully it's even nicer under lights later, should be pretty high-scoring. We've got one change, Tumi Sekhukhune in for Klaas. What a change a couple of days make. Very happy with how quickly we put that game behind us, and hopefully we can have another good one today," Wolvaardt said at the toss.

For India, Amanjot Kaur has made her return to the side after missing the all-important clash against Pakistan. She has replaced Renuka Singh Thakur in the lineup. India have been in remarkable form in the ongoing tournament, having defeated Sri Lanka and Pakistan in their first two matches.
"We are batting first, hopefully we'll be able to get a good result. They've (the supporters) been great. Every time they're in the stadium to support us, hopefully we'll play well and win today. We have one change - Amanjot is back in place of Renuka. Every game, I think we need to keep showing improvement, and today is a very important match for us, and I'm sure we're going to play good cricket," Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur said.
