Asia Cup 2025 Squad Announcement Date: India's squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 is all set to be picked in Mumbai on Tuesday, August 19 before the chief selector Ajit Agarkar will announce the team through a press conference in the presence of skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

The Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to be played from September 9 to 28 with all eyes set on India's squad as there have been heavy speculations around regarding the possible selections and combinations.

As per the release shared by the BCCI, "The Senior Men’s Selection Committee will meet at the BCCI HQ, Mumbai, on Tuesday, August 19, to pick India’s squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s Asia Cup. The selection meeting will be followed by a press conference, which will be attended by the captain and the chairman of the Senior Men’s Selection Committee."

A total of eight teams are participating, divided into two groups, and the competition is expected to be fierce, especially with the much-awaited India vs Pakistan clash in the group stage on September 14 in Dubai. Both the arch-rivals are placed in group A alongside the UAE and Oman.

India and Pakistan could meet as many as three times should they progress to the Super 4 stage and the final. Defending champions India are the most successful team in Asia Cup cricket history, having won the title eight times.

Notably, the Asia Cup 2025 will be played in the T20 format. The tournament will work as a preparatory assignment for the teams ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.
