India women vs England women: Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bat first against England women in the one-off Test at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
Both teams face off in the longest format of the game after the promising action in the white-ball leg which featured a three-match T20I series.
India have handed over the debut caps to three players as Shubha Satheesh, Renuka Singh Thakur and Jemimah Rodrigues make their maiden appearance in whites.

England emerged victorious as they were the far better performers in the shortest format, winning the series by 2-1, and will now look to replicate the same in the Test match.
The visitors kicked off the tour with a 38-run victory in the first T20I match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and followed it by a win in the second game by four wickets.
India managed to pick up a consolation win, defeating England by five wickets in the third and last match of the series.
"As captain, my message is no matter what the situation, if you go in with a positive mindset and play positive cricket, it will be better for the team," skipper Harmanpreet Kaur said ahead of the contest.
"If you go in with an intent to win, your approach to the game changes totally rather than thinking, 'it's a four-day match and we need to play a bit defensively for the format'. We're focused on our strengths... because end of the day you only have to react to the ball instead of complicating things, thinking about when to play and when to leave. We've tried to keep it as simple as possible," she added.
Talking about the team combination, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma will be the openers as usual followed by Jemimah at No.3 whereas skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will be the next to bat.
Yastika Bhatia will take the responsibility with the gloves behind the wickets whereas Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Thakur Singh will bolster the pace department.
There are no new names in England's lineup but Sophia Dunkley, who opens in white-ball formats, has been promoted in Emma Lamb's absence.
