IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be up against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the first match of the IPL 2024 at Chepauk on Friday, March 22.

Kohli was seen immensely focused in his net practice whereas Maxwell was busy imitating his shots well behind the net the video of which has gone viral on social media.

The Aussie cricketer also gave some motivational words after Kohli played incredible shots all over the ground during his practice session.

RCB's pace bowler Mohammed Siraj also joined Maxwell in mimicking Virat as he tried acting out getting his gloves in position.

Both Maxwell and Siraj were also seen having a cheeky banter.

The IPL 2024 is expected to be a crucial one for RCB as they will be having extra pressure to capitalise after the women's team's recent WPL title victory.

Smriti Masndhana-led RCB defeated Delhi Capitals in the final to clinch their maiden Women's Premier League trophy.

Once again the responsibility will be on the big names like Kohli, skipper Faf du Plessis, Maxwell and their massive signing Cameron Green.

On the other hand, Indian name Rajat Patidar will be looking to move on from his disappointing outing in the Test series against England and come out on top in the tournament.

Notably, this IPL season will be the last for their wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik who has held down the role as the finisher ever since he returned to the side in 2022.

RCB will follow the CSK game with matches against Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants at home and then a trip to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur to take on the Rajasthan Royals as per the first phase of the tournament.
