IPL 2024 Updated Points Table: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) reclaimed the top spot in the points table after their second successive win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
CSK defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 63 runs in the Match 7 of the IPL 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday, March 26.
The five-time champions were put into bat first by the Titans and the hosts posted a huge total of 206/6 in their 20 overs.

Shivam Dube was the top run-getter for them as he smashed a brilliant half century, scoring 51 off just 23 deliveries with the help of two fours and five sixes.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side successfully defended their total and picked up a comfortable win by restricting the visitors to 143/8 in their 20 overs.

With their second win of the season, CSK are now back to the first position in the points table with four points under their belt.
They are followed by Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the second position who have one win and two points after their opening match.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are the next to follow at the third, fourth and fifth place respectively.
KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their first match whereas Punjab defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) in their first match before losing against RCB in the second.
RCB have two points to their name with a defeat and a win after their two matches.
Gujarat Titans, who had won their opening match against MI before losing against CSK are placed at the sixth position.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are the only teams with no win to their name so far and make the bottom four in the table with 0 points each.
Both SRH and MI lost their opening matches and will be up against each other on Wednesday whereas Delhi and LSG lost against PBKS and Rajasthan respectively.

1. The top four teams on the IPL 2024 points table will qualify for the playoffs.
2. The teams will get two points for every win whereas the losing side will have nothing on board.
3. The points table will be updated after every IPL match.
4. If the match gets abandoned or terminated prematurely resulting in a No Result, both teams get a point each.
