In an entertaining display of camaraderie, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant engaged in some lighthearted banter during the IPL 2024 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Pant, serving as the Delhi Capitals skipper, was sidelined for the game due to a one-match suspension for a slow over-rate violation. He watched the proceedings from the dressing room, which provided a backdrop for the amusing interaction. Despite the high-stakes nature of the match, Kohli and Pant’s exchange highlighted the friendly relationship that exist between them. 

The incident occurred while Kohli was batting. Spotting Pant standing near the sightscreen, Kohli playfully pointed his bat at him, signaling for Pant to take a seat. The match itself saw RCB continuing their impressive form, securing a commanding 47-run victory over DC. This win marked RCB’s fifth consecutive triumph, significantly bolstering their chances of securing a playoff berth. The victory also propelled RCB to the fifth position in the points table, surpassing DC due to a superior net run rate, despite both teams having accumulated an equal number of points.

The friendly banter between Kohli and Pant, combined with RCB's on-field dominance, provided fans with a memorable encounter that showcased both the competitive spirit and the sportsmanship in the IPL.
