Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2025: Andre Russell unleashed a monstrous hit while batting for Kolkata Knight Riders against Delhi Capitals in their IPL 2025 match 48 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Russell smashed a massive 106-m six off Mitchell Starc in the last over of KKR's innings before his 17-run cameo helped his side post a huge total of 204/9 in their 20 overs after being put into bat first.
Aiming to deliver a yorker first up, Starc came around the wicket but missed the spot before Russell picked it up brilliantly to send the ball a long way. The video of Russell's unbelievable hit went viral on social media.
After that, DC used two reviews for wide calls on back-to-back deliveries, and one decision went in their favour. Then, on the third ball of the over, Starc trapped Rovman Powell in front as the batter was beaten for pace, and the ball struck him on the back pad. Powell took the review but started walking after the initial replays.

Starc got another wicket on the next delivery as Dushmantha Chameera produced a magical catch to remove Anukul Roy on the very first ball he faced. With Russell getting run out on the final delivery of the innings, DC completed a team hat-trick. Starc ended up getting three wickets for 43 runs in his four overs, whereas Vipraj Nigam and skipper Axar Patel found two scalps each. Dushmantha Chameera also got a success.
For KKR, Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the top run-getter for KKR with a 4-run knock in just 32 balls on the back of three fours and two sixes. While Rinku Singh scored 36 runs off 25 deliveries, Sunil Narine (27), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (26), and skipper Ajinkya Rahane (26) came up with impactful efforts.
