LSG vs SRH, IPL 2025: Things turned ugly during the match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as Abhishek Sharma and Digvesh Ratih were involved in a heated face-off on the field after the LSG spinner gave a fiery trademark "notebook" send-off to India opener.

In the 8th over of the game, Digvesh marked his prize wicket of Abhishek with his signature "notebook" celebration, who had been in imperious touch with a 59 off 20 balls, including a half-century in just 18 balls.

The breaking of the 82-run partnership brought immense joy to Digvesh, who celebrated Abhishek's dismissal with his trademark gesture; however, the celebration did not sit well with the SRH batter.

Abhishek's dismissal was followed by a controversy, as he took offence with Digvesh's send-off and turned back to confront the bowler, leading to a brief but tense face-off.

The tension was quickly calmed down by the on-field umpire and team members, who stepped in to intervene.

The umpire was engaged in a lengthy discussion with Digvesh before the new batter Heinrich Klaasen arrived at the crease.

Notably, this wasn't the first time Digvesh was pulled up for his controversial celebration as he had previously faced disciplinary action for a similar gesture.

Earlier in the season, during LSG's match against Punjab Kings, Digvesh was fined for his send-off celebration after dismissing Priyansh Arya. Digvesh has been slapped with a few demerit points from the board for his notebook celebration.
