LSG vs RR IPL 2025: Lucknow Super Giants has received a huge boost as star fast bowler Mayank Yadav has joined the side finally and will be undergoing some fitness tests to check if he is all set to play during their upcoming clash against the Rajasthan-based franchise, as per a Times Of India report. Mayank underwent a long rehab at the NCA after getting injured in the T20I series against Bangladesh last year.
Mayank last featured in a competitive match six months ago, where he represented India during a T20I against Bangladesh.

Mayank has stayed out of action post that owing to a back injury and his joining the Lucknow-based franchise is a huge boost for them.

His comeback to the team was then again delayed owing to a tea injury, which he has sustained at the NCA.
Although Mayank did receive a clearance from the NCA, LSG's head physio Ashish Kaushik would be giving him a green signal and only then he would be able to play against RR.
Due to his history with injuries- where he had sustained five stress fractures in two years, the Rishabh Pant-led side will be cautious as far as making Mayank bowl four overs during a high-octane clash is concerned.
During IPL 2024, he had featured in just four matches and then pulled out from the rest of the tournament owing to a side strain.
After six months, he then made his international debut and played three matches but was later ruled out again.
The Lucknow-base franchise did deal with a lot of injuries before the ongoing season even began and that has affected their campaign.
Mohsin Khan had to pull out and then the franchise roped in Shardul Thakur as his replacement. Although he is the third-highest wicket-taker, lately has been quite expensive as he is bowling at an economy rate of more than 11.
The Rishabh Pant-led side are lying in the fifth position in the points table after winning four matches of the seven that they have played till now with an NRR of 0.8. They lost to CSK by five wickets during their previous match.
