IPL 2025 Mega Auction: India's star bowler Arshdeep Singh has been retained by Punjab Kings for a whopping amount of Rs 18 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction in Jeddah on Sunday. Sunrisers Hyderabad did initially bid for him at a whopping amount of Rs 15.75 crore, Punjab Kings used their RTM card and thus retained him. SRH then started bidding for Rs 18 crore, which the Punjab-based franchise was able to match and thus retained the left-arm fast bowler.

The youngster, who entered the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore, was released by Punjab Kings before the mega auction although he has been playing for them since 2019.

Arshdeep has taken 76 wickets after playing in 65 IPL matches. He also played a huge role in helping India win their second T20 World Cup title and was the highest wicket-taker as he took 17 wickets.
