CSK vs RCB, IPL 2025: MS Dhoni will be looking to make up for last season's defeat when Chennai Super Kings face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday, March 28.
Dhoni couldn't finish the game for CSK as RCB defeated them in their last league match of the IPL 2024 to qualify for the playoffs. CSK needed 17 runs in the last over to qualify for the playoffs, with Yash Dayal having the ball in hand, whereas Dhoni was on strike.
The former CSK skipper smashed an incredible six off the first delivery, but Yash bounced back with his wicket in the very next ball before defending the runs to take his team over the line. Dhoni was dismissed for 25 runs as CSK suffered a 27-run defeat.
RCB is one of Dhoni's favourite opponents in IPL as the veteran cricketer has a magnificent record against them. Dhoni has put up impactful performances against RCB over the years. The 43-year-old Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the best finishers in limited-overs cricket. His ability to chase down targets and remain calm in the most stressful situations has been a defining feature of his IPL career.
