MS Dhoni has always had a unique way of addressing speculation about his future. Whether it was his unexpected international retirement announcement on Instagram in 2020 or his cryptic responses regarding his IPL career, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain continues to keep fans guessing.
Now, ahead of IPL 2025, it seems Dhoni has sent a subtle but clear message to his fans. As he arrived in Chennai on Wednesday (February 26) for CSK's pre-season camp, he was spotted wearing a T-shirt with the words "One last time"—but with a twist. The message was encoded in Morse code, a communication system using dots and dashes, adding to the intrigue. Check out the picture here:

Dhoni, who turned 43, has often spoken about his motivation to keep going in the IPL. He revealed that he works for 6-8 months every year to stay in shape for the two-month-long tournament. Since his international retirement, Dhoni has made it a habit to join CSK’s pre-season camp earlier than most players, showing his dedication to the team.
"For me, my biggest motivation was that contribution to make India win. Now that I've retired from international cricket, I can't say it's the same, but for me now, it's the love for the sport," Dhoni said at a promotional event in Chennai.
Dhoni will turn 44 in July 2025, but the legendary cricketer has maintained exceptional fitness levels, ensuring he remains in top shape to meet the demands of IPL 2025. Despite his age, Dhoni continues to be a crucial figure for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), both as a leader and a player.
In IPL 2024, Dhoni played in all 14 matches for CSK, scoring 161 runs at a staggering strike rate of 220. While he batted lower down the order, he delivered impactful cameos and continued keeping wickets, proving his enduring value to the team.
The former captain is expected to play the entire IPL 2025 season. He had initially hinted at retirement after CSK's title-winning campaign in 2023, but later announced his decision to play one more season as a gesture of gratitude to the fans who have supported him throughout his career.
