IPL 2025 Playoffs Scenarios: The IPL 2025 is heading towards its business end with just 10 matches remaining in the league stage of the season. Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings have made it to the playoffs, and just one spot remains for the top four finish.

Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals are the only teams left in the race for the playoffs qualification. Delhi suffered a defeat in their match against Gujarat Titans by 10 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. They are placed fifth in the standings and still have two matches left in their campaign. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians will be playing their last two matches against Delhi Capitals and the Punjab Kings.

Talking about LSG, the Rishabh Pant-led side will be in action on Monday as they host the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. While SRH are already out of the contention, LSG still remain alive with three matches in hand.

IPL 2025 Playoffs Qualification Scenarios Explained

How Mumbai Indians can qualify for IPL 2025 playoffs

Mumbai Indians will go through if they win both of their remaining matches and extend their tally to 18 points. They will not have to depend on other results of the tournament.

Mumbai Indians can still qualify with 16 points if they beat Delhi Capitals. If they lose against DC and beat Punjab Kings then they will have to hope that Delhi lose to Punjab in their final game.

MI will get eliminated if they lose both of their matches.

How Delhi Capitals can qualify for IPL 2025 playoffs

DC will get eliminated if they lose their match against the Mumbai Indians. In the reverse scenario, they will need Punjab to also beat Mumbai, and for Lucknow Super Giants to lose at least one of their remaining three matches.

If Delhi Capitals lose both of their matches, they will get knocked out of the playoffs race.

How Lucknow Super Giants can qualify for IPL 2025 playoffs

Lucknow need to win all three remaining matches and hope for a little help from other results as well.

In case of reaching 16 points in the standings, LSG will need DC's win over Mumbai Indians but a defeat against Punjab Kings. They will still have a chance for a top-four finish if Mumbai Indians lose both of their matches against DC and Punjab Kings, respectively.

If LSG and MI both reach 16 points, the Pant-led side will have to make sure of winning both of their remaining games with big margins.
