IPL 2025 Playoffs Qualification Scenarios: The IPL 2025 is all set to set to start from May 17, Saturday after it was suspended for seven days owing to political tensions between India and Pakistan and there are seven teams who are alive in the race to the playoffs, with just a few matches remaining in the group stage. The IPL got suspended last week, where two teams had scored 16 points and three teams had 15, 14, and 13 points.

The remaining two teams have scored 10 and 11 points and have a mathematical chance of qualifying for the playoffs, even though they might need more as compared to the other teams to finish in the top four.

Gujarat Titans: 16 points

The Shubman Gill-led side had a forgettable campaign last year, and this time, they have turned things around brilliantly. They have won eight of the 11 matches played till now and have a NRR of 0.79. They need to win just one match to qualify, but this will also be affected since some of their main overseas players might not return.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 16 points

RCB have had a dream run till now as they have posed challenges for some of the teams who couldn't overcome them. One of the talking points of their campaigns was their performances in away matches, as they won all six of them. Just like Gujarat, they too qualify for the playoffs if they win one more match.

Punjab Kings: 15 points

The Shreyas Iyer-led side scripted history as they scored 15 points for the first time after 11 years. They, too, can reach the playoffs by winning one of their next few matches. Josh Inglis is the only player who might not feature in the next few matches, and that won't be an issue for them.

Mumbai Indians: 14 points

Often considered as the slow starters, Mumbai Indians did bounce back by winning their last six matches ahead of their clash against GT, who ended their winning streak. They need to win two more matches to qualify for the playoffs, and even if they win one match, they might inch closer but won't guarantee a 100% spot.

Delhi Capitals: 13 points

The Axar Patel-led side had a flying start to their campaign as they had won four consecutive matches, but then they could win just two matches of their last seven games, where one was also abandoned. Mitchell Starc and Tristan Stubbs are part of the WTC final teams and are expected to miss the matches for the Delhi-based franchise, who still need two wins to qualify for the playoffs.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 11 points

The defending champions are the second-to-last team to be in contention in the race to the playoffs. They lost to CSK during their last match, and that dented their playoff hopes. They need to win their last two matches to qualify for the playoffs and would hope that the result of the other matches would go in their favour.

Lucknow Super Giants: 10 points

LSG is on the verge of getting eliminated as they need to win all three remaining matches and can either eye a third or a fourth spot in the playoff race. Aiden Markram is part of South Africa's WTC final squad, and his availability is quite uncertain.
