IPL 2025: Three Teams That Can Target South Africa's Marco Jansen At Mega Auction

IPL 2025: Just a few days before the IPL 2025 mega auction, South Africa's star all-rounder Marco Jansen has gained the attention of multiple IPL teams on the back of his brilliant performance during the 3rd T20I against India. He almost took the team across the line but eventually couldn't do it by himself.

After the series was leveled at 1-1, the result of the third T20I went in India's favor as Tilak Varma scored a match-winning unbeaten knock of 107 runs. By doing so, he also became the second youngest Indian batter after Yashasvi Jaiswal to have scored a hundred in the shortest format.

While chasing a mammoth target of 220 runs, the Aiden Markram-led side suffered a batting collapse, and after Heinrich Klaasen got out the Men in Blue bounced back in the game. But Jansen had different plans as he showed batting prowess just before the IPL 2025 mega and smashed a half-century off just 16 balls and helped his team get closer to the finish line.

1. Gujarat Titans

During IPL 2024, one of the biggest concerns for the former champions Gujarat Titans was their pacers. Mohammed Shami had to pull out of the season owing to an injury and didn't feature in a single match and due to this a brilliant pacer from their bowling attack.

But this time they would be looking for a quality fast bowler and Jansen can fit in that position. Some brilliant left-arm fast bowlers are quite rare to find these days and currently, Jansen is one of the best pacers. At the same time, their home ground Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad would also complement his style of bowling as the surface there is pacer-friendly.
