Swastik Chikara, an emerging young cricketer, has been making waves with his on-field talent and off-field antics. His recent birthday celebration with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad became a talking point after a lighthearted moment involving Virat Kohli.
During his birthday festivities, Chikara shared a fun exchange with Kohli while cutting the cake. After receiving a piece of cake from the former RCB captain, Chikara returned the favor. However, instead of just eating the cake, he playfully bit Kohli’s finger, prompting Kohli to jokingly exclaim, "Arey bhai, ungli chhod meri!" (Hey brother, leave my finger!). The humorous incident had the entire dressing room in laughter, reflecting the growing camaraderie between the two.
RCB’s official social media account shared glimpses of the celebration, which took place after the team's loss to Gujarat Titans in their first home match of IPL 2025. Despite the defeat, the atmosphere in the dressing room remained cheerful, with players enjoying Chikara’s birthday bash.
Adding to the humor, Chikara was also caught on camera requesting Kohli to gift him a couple of watches, saying, "Virat bhai se 2-3 ghadi gift karwa do." (Get Virat Kohli to gift me 2-3 watches.) Check out the video here:

While Chikara’s off-field antics have entertained fans, his on-field performances make a strong case for his selection in the playing XI. Cricket enthusiasts have urged the RCB management to provide him with an opportunity, considering his impressive domestic record.
In the 2024 Uttar Pradesh T20 League, Chikara delivered a stellar performance for the Meerut Mavericks. He finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer, amassing 499 runs at a phenomenal strike rate of 185. His innings included a staggering 47 sixes, making him one of the most explosive batters of the competition. Notably, his 62-run knock off just 31 balls played a crucial role in helping his team clinch the championship title against Kanpur Superstars.
