IPL 2026: Three-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders have revealed their new jersey for the upcoming season, and the theme of their jersey this time is "Lines of Legacy". The jersey's design is a tribute to all the special moments in this team's history, from Brendon McCullum smashing an unbeaten 158 in their first match in 2008 to Rinku Singh smashing five consecutive sixes in the last over of an important match.

A line on the jersey depicts each historic event. Together, these lines form the team's initial in a stylish, abstract linear art.

“This season, those lines are not just remembered – they are woven into the jersey itself, allowing fans to wear a piece of the team’s story," a statement released by KKR said.

Venky Mysore, CEO of Knight Riders Sports, called the design a celebration of the team's journey. “The Lines of Legacy captures the essence of KKR’s storied history and celebrates the journey of the team over the years. Each line represents a pivotal moment of brilliance. Together, they reflect the energy and spirit that weaves to form our identity," he said.

KKR will face the Mumbai Indians in their tournament opener at the Wankhede Stadium later this month. Their first home match against Sunrisers Hyderabad is on 2nd April.

They will also lock horns with the Punjab Kings on 6th April, followed by the Lucknow Super Giants on 9th April.

The Kolkata-based franchise bolstered its team during the IPL 2026 auction. They bought star players like Cameron Green, Matheesha Pathirana, Finn Allen, and West Indies all-rounder Rovman Powell in place of Andre Russell.

They had a forgettable campaign in IPL 2025, finishing fourth in the points table after winning just 4 of 14 matches.
