Reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders will aim to defend their title with skipper Shreyas Iyer and star middle-order batter Rinku Singh.
Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player at the IPL auction last year as KKR bought him for a whopping amount of Rs 24.75 crore. Although Starc did perform inconsistently he stepped up when the team needed him the most as he also performed brilliantly in the summit clash, where he was adjudged the Player of the Match award for registering match-winning figures of 14/2 in the three overs that he bowled.
The defending champions could also retain players like Phil Salt, Sunil Narine, and Harshit Rana.
