Irfan Pathan, the former Indian fast bowler, recreated Rohit Sharma's iconic T20 World Cup walk after winning the Big Cricket League.

Pathan was captaining the Mumbai Marines team in the tournament and led them to a title win after defeating Southern Spartans by seven wickets in the final.

The Spartans posted a strong total of 210-6 in 20 overs, courtesy of 78 by Phil Mustard and 51 by Suresh Raina. However, it was not enough for a win as 89 by Manan Sharma and 75 by Jesal Karia helped Mumbai chase down the total.

During the trophy distribution, Irfan replicated Rohit's slow walk. Notably, Rohit led the Indian team to the title win in the T20 World Cup 2024 in June. After receiving the trophy, Rohit unleashed the famous slow walk towards the team before celebrations began in Barbados.

India had defeated South Africa in the final to win their second T20 World Cup title.

The walk first grabbed the limelight after Lionel Messi performed it after leading Argentina to the FIFA World Cup 2022 title win in Qatar. Argentina defeated France in the final to clinch their third WC title.

Recently West Indies' Hayley Matthews also recreated it after leading Barbados Royals to a win over Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL.

Talking about Rohit, the Indian captain is currently engaged in the all-important away five-match Test series against Australia. He will next be seen in action in the Boxing Day Test match in Melbourne which begins on December 26.

Rohit has looked out of touch in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy so far and will be looking to make it count in the fourth Test in order to help India not only win the series but also boost their chances of making it to their third successive World Test Championship final.
