Bangladesh cricket team provided a memorable moment during their second ODI match against New Zealand at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday, September 23.
They set an appreciable example of sportsman spirit by calling Blackcaps' bowler Ish Sodhi back who got run out at the non-striker’s end.
The instance took place in the 46th over of New Zealand's innings when the Bangladesh fast bowler Hasan Mahmud caught Sodhi way ahead of his crease at the non-strikers's end. He ran him out as he took the bails off on his delivery stride.

The decision was sent upstairs by the on-field umpire Marais Erasmus after which the batter Sodhi was given out by the third umpire Nitin Sodhi, giving them their ninth wicket.
However, it was just seconds before Bangladesh skipper Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar had a chat together and decided to call back Sodhi to set a heart-warming gesture.
Ish Sodhi was run out at the non strikers end by Hasan Mahmud. The third umpire checked and gave OUT! But when Sodhi started walking out, skipper Litton Das and Hasan Mahmud called him back again. Litton also had a chat with the on-field umpire before inviting Sodhi back to the field.
Once Sodhi came back he shared a memorable incident with Hasan as the duo hugged each other, giving everyone a cherishing moment.
Bangladesh showed a piece of sportsman spirit as they remained one of the few teams to not run out a batter at a non-striker’s end in a bowler’s delivery stride.
Talking about the match, Sodhi who was batting on 17 runs at the moment of that incident, went on to score 35 runs off 39 balls as his cameo included three sixes. He helped his team reach a total of 254 before they were bowled out in 49.5 overs.
