The Chennai Singams delivered a dominant performance on Tuesday, securing a convincing seven-wicket win against the Falcons Risers Hyderabad in an Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) match held at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane.

The team's opening batter, Ketan Mhatre, played a pivotal role in setting the tone for the chase, unleashing a blistering innings of 35 runs from just 12 deliveries. Mhatre's aggressive knock was adorned with two fours and four sixes, as he tore apart the Hyderabad bowling attack with ease.

After Ketan Mhatre's departure, Jagannath Sarkar took over, scoring a valuable 23 runs from 17 deliveries to keep the momentum going. Finally, it was Prashant Gharat who delivered the finishing touch, sealing the victory for the Chennai Singams with a decisive boundary.

The Chennai Singams' decision to field first paid off immediately, as Anurag Sarshar struck gold in the opening over, dismissing both Aakash Jangid and Prabjot Singh. Following the early losses, Liton Sarkar joined Kisan Satpute at the crease, and the duo endeavoured to steady the ship and rebuild the Hyderabad innings.

The partnership between Liton Sarkar and Kisan Satpute was eventually broken when Vignesh Venkatachalapathy bowled Kisan, who misjudged the bounce, for 10 runs off 12 deliveries. Sarkar emerged as the top scorer for the Falcons, contributing 18 runs from 13 balls.

Later, Vishwajit Thakur and Parveen Kumar chipped in with valuable knocks of 11 and 10 runs, respectively, helping the Falcons post a total of 64-9 in their allotted 10 overs.

Srinagar defeats Kolkata by 8 wickets

Batting first, the Tigers of Kolkata put up a competitive total of 84/8, thanks to a strong start from Sarfaraz Khan and a late surge by Bhavesh Pawar. Sarfaraz provided the initial impetus, scoring a rapid 27 runs off 20 deliveries, which included four and two sixes.

However, after his departure, Kolkata's momentum slowed down due to Srinagar Ke Veer's disciplined and effective bowling attack.
