England vs India 3rd Test: Jasprit Bumrah faced a little distraction while addressing the media at the end of the second day of the third Test between India and England at Lord's on Friday.

Bumrah had yet another memorable outing with the ball as he picked up his 15th five-wicket haul in Tests, his first at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. He removed the likes of Harry Brook, Ben Stokes and Joe Root to hurt England before wrapping things up with the wickets of Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer.

During the post-day press conference, Bumrah responded to questions on another heroic effort, ball change controversy and more, but there was one short instance that left everyone in the room laughing.

"Till the time I am wearing this jersey, there will be judgment. Obviously, that’s part and parcel of professional sport. You will always be judged by your performance, day in and day out. When Sachin sir played 200 Test matches, he was also still judged…," Bumrah said before being interrupted by a phone call on a reporter's mobile.

"Somebody’s wife is calling…But I will not pick it up. I’ve left it that way," he responded before continuing, "Everybody judges…I forgot the question. Professional sport is like that."

This was his 13th such haul in 35 Tests when playing away from home, and he thus surpassed the record of most fifers by an Indian bowler in overseas Tests held by Kapil Dev (12 in 166 Tests).

Notably, Bumrah had taken a five-wicket haul in the first Test as well at Leeds before he was rested for the second match at Edgbaston due to workload management. While Bumrah produced magic early in the second day, England were reduced from 251/4 to 271/7 before Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse hit half-centuries to lead a fine recovery. The duo stitched an 84-run stand for the eighth wicket before England reached 387 in their first innings.

Apart from Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Nitish Kumar Reddy bagged a couple of wickets each, whereas Ravindra Jadeja found a scalp as well.
