India vs England T20Is: England haven't been at their best in the ongoing T20I series against India so far and have gone 0-2 down after losing the second T20I match by two wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Saturday.

Skipper Jos Buttler's performance has been the only positive for the visitors as he remains the top run-getter in the five-match series at the moment with 113 runs to his name at an average of 56.50.

Having played a 68-run knock in the losing cause in the series opener in Kolkata, Buttler made yet another crucial contribution of 45 runs on the back of two fours and three sixes.

While Buttler continues to capitalise on his consistency with the bat, the senior batter became the leading run-scorer against India in T20Is. He is now the first player in the world to score 600+ runs against the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game.

The 34-year-old went past West Indies wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran's record of 592 runs. Pooran has played 20 T20Is against India so far and, with the help of five half-centuries, has 592 runs to his name. On the other hand, Buttler has scored 611 runs in 24 matches.

Buttler and Pooran are followed by Australia's Glenn Maxwell and South Africa's David Miller in the list of players with the most T20I runs against India.

While Maxwell has scored 574 runs in 22 matches (2 centuries, 2 fifties), Miller has amassed a total of 524 runs in 25 matches.

During the second T20I in Chennai, Buttler also took his tally of sixes to 151 in the T20I format. Buttler, who led England to the T20 World Cup title win in 2022, is the first English and fourth batter overall in the world to hit 150 sixes in the shortest format of the game.

Rohit Sharma tops the list of batters with the most sixes in T20Is. In 159 matches for the Indian team, Rohit smashed 205 sixes.

Notably, Buttler stands sixth in the list of top run-getters in T20Is. He is only behind Rohit (4231 runs), Babar Azam (4233 runs), Virat Kohli (4188 runs), Paul Stirling (3655 runs) and Martin Guptill (3531 runs).

England will be looking for a much-needed win in the third match against India on Tuesday in Rajkot in order to remain alive in the five-match series.
