IND vs ENG: India and England will start their new WTC cycle by locking horns with each other during a five-match Test series, which will begin on June 20. A few players of the Indian team had already prepared for this series by playing in a few unofficial Test matches and then played an intra-squad match for the upcoming Test series.

All eyes would be on star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who would try to put his best foot forward and England's Jos Buttler has reckoned that there isn't a huge superstar than him from the visitor's team.

“I don’t think there’s a bigger star in that touring squad than Jasprit Bumrah," Jos Buttler was quoted as saying on For The Love Of Cricket podcast.

Buttker, who has played against Jasprit Bumrah in white-ball format and during the IPL, has revealed that Bumrah's unique run-up and unorthodox action do give a hard time to the batters.

“…facing him (Bumrah), he creates awkward angles, the run-up is unique, the action is unique. I think I have seen the side-ons (bowlers), but he delivers the ball from about a foot or even a bit closer to the batsman than the average bowler, so the ball feels quicker even than the pace he is bowling at," he further said.

“For me as a right-hander, it always felt like it was coming in, but he could beat me on the outside, and you sort of find yourself in a horrible position, squared up and a bit of a sitting target," he revealed.

Buttler also emphasized that if the hosts want to negate Bumrah's threat early, then they should perform brilliantly against him.

“He is a superstar bowler, and that’s what you expect in international cricket. You are going to come up against great players and certainly someone England will need to play well to have success," he added.

Bumrah boasts of a brilliant record while playing against England in the longest format as he has taken 37 wickets after playing in nine matches and at a brilliant average of 26.27.

Bumrah would be playing in just three of the upcoming five-match Test series so that he can manage his workload and Stuart Broad said that if Bumrah does play in all five matches then he would be taking a lot of wickets.

“He is going to be certainly one to watch and certainly someone that England won’t want to play five Tests, because if he does, he’s going to pick up a shedload of wickets, isn’t he?" Broad was quoted as saying on For The Love Of Cricket podcast.
