PSL 2026: Just a few days after he pulled out from the Pakistan Super League 2026 to participate in the Indian Premier League 2026, the star pacer Blessing Muzarabani has been given a two-year ban by the PCB. The PCB has banned him from playing in the PSL for two years. "In this instance, despite a clear offer and an unequivocal acceptance of essential terms, the player chose to disregard these obligations in favor of a conflicting arrangement", a statement released by the PCB said.
The Zimbabwe fast bowler had signed a contract to play for the Islamabad United for PSL 2026, but then withdrew as he was roped in by the Kolkata Knight Riders to play during IPL 2026.
He was one of the top-performing bowlers at the 2026 T20 World Cup, finishing third in wicket-taking with 13 wickets, and helped the team qualify for the Super 8s stage.
Muzarabani, who was part of the Multan Sultans PSL-winning team earlier, went unsold at the PSL auction. But later, he signed a deal with Islamabad after they released the West Indies pacer, Shamar Joseph.
The Kolkata-based franchise bought Muzarabani as the replacement for Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman.
They had to let Mustafizur Rahman go after being instructed by the BCCI. He was roped in for a whopping amount of Rs 9.2 crore during the IPL auction last year.
In the ongoing season, he has featured in two games, taking four wickets and leaking 75 runs at an economy rate of 10.71.
