IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants during their next IPL match in Mumbai on Sunday. Post losing four consecutive matches of the first five that they had played, did bounced back during the ongoing season and are on a four-match winning streak. They will aim to continue their winning momentum against LSG in their backyard, even though they did lose to them by 12 runs in Lucknow.
Before the high-octane clash clash between these two teams, who are still in contention to qualify for the playoffs, MI's star opener Rohit Sharma did attend a training session, where he was seen making fun of LSG pacer Shardul Thakur for getting late to practice.
MI took to their official X account and posted a video, where Rohit was heard saying, “Kya re a hero, abhi aa raha hai, ghar ka team hai kya?".

Rohit began his IPL 2025 campaign by getting dismissed for a duck against CSK at the M.A Chidambaram stadium, has bounced back to form, and will be entering Sunday's match on the back of two consecutive half-centuries. He scored an unbeaten match-winning knock of 76 runs off 46 balls against CSK earlier this week and during the clash against SRH, he scored 70 runs off 46 balls and helped MI win the match by seven wickets.
At the same time, Shardul, post joining LSG, as Mohsin Khan's replacement has shown his bowling prowess. After playing in nine matches, he has taken 12 wickets till now and is also the highest wicket-taker of his team.
When the last time, these two teams faced each other, Rohit missed out owing to an injury, whereas Shardul registered figures of 40/1 in the four overs that he bowled. He took the wicket of opener Ryan Rickleton.
