LSG vs CSK, IPL 2024: KL Rahul, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings' captain Ruturaj Gaikwad have been fined INR 12 lakh each as their teams maintained a slow over rate during match 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

LSG defeated the defending champions by eight wickets to clinch their fourth win of the season at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 19.

Notably, it was the first offence from both the teams under the IPL's Code of Conduct of the minimum over-rate offences so both Rahul and Gaikwad were fined INR 12 lakh, said IPL in a statement.

"Feels good at the end of the day. When you win, most decisions feel right. We were committed to our plans. Really happy with that," LSG skipper KL Rahul said at the post-match presentation.

"We tried to mix it around. The bowlers executed really well. The team is sticking to the plans. Halfway stage, I would have been happy with 160. The wicket was slow and a bit of grip. MSD walked in and the pressure got to the bowlers. He has had the intimidation on opposition bowlers. Our young bowlers were put under pressure with the crowd going berserk as well. 15-20 runs extra they got," he added.
