IPL 2023, LSG vs PBKS Highlights: Sam Curran-led Punjab Kings defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 2 wickets with just 2 balls to spare. It was a thriller of a contest with Punjab off to a worst possible start as they lost both openers inside powerplay. However, Sikandar Raza and Matthew Short came to Punjab's rescue in the middle with Shahrukh Khan applying the finishing touch in the end. 

In the first innings, stand-in captain Sam Curran and fast bowler Kagiso Rabada picked 3-31 and 2-34 respectively as Punjab Kings restricted Lucknow Super Giants to 159/8 in 20 overs in Match 21 of IPL 2023 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

For Lucknow, captain K.L. Rahul top-scored with 74 off 56 balls in an innings during which he was unable to attack as wickets fell from the other end. Lucknow had 49/0 in Power-play but made only 62/4 in middle overs and faltered in the end as Punjab picked four wickets while conceding only 48 runs in the last five overs.

It is our first season here, so each game we'll assess and modify. Every game we make a few changes, settle on a 12-13 and take a call depending on the game. Each game we have turned up and we have been challenged every time, but players have found answers. Everyone is enjoying the game and there is a good vibe around, really happy with the support we have got out here.

Shilkhar picked up an injury last game, don't know how bad it is but hopefully he won't be out long. His absence is huge, we've got two Indian batters coming in and Raza is back in the XI. The conditions looks good.
