Lucknow Super Giants Retained Players List: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has finalized its retention list for Indian Premier League IPL) 2025, with five key players set to remain with the franchise.

The retained players include experienced internationals Nicholas Pooran and Ravi Bishnoi, along with Mayank Yadav. Additionally, two promising uncapped talents, Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni, have also been retained, ensuring a blend of experience and youth in the LSG squad for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the captain KL Rhaul was not retained by the franchise ahead of the mega auction.

Pooran, who excelled as interim captain and wicketkeeper in 2024, was Lucknow's top retention, ahead of Mayank Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi.

In 2023, LSG secured the services of Pooran, a premier power-hitter, for Rs 16 crore. Meanwhile, Mayank Yadav's explosive IPL debut in 2024 saw him secure back-to-back Player-of-the-Match honors, with a consistently blistering 150-plus kph pace.

Bishnoi was one of the three players LSG locked in ahead of the mega auction before IPL 2022 for Rs 4 crore. Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan, two uncapped players purchased by Lucknow for Rs 20 lakhs each in the 2022 auction, have far exceeded expectations to become vital cogs in the team's success.

The exact amount the five players have not been disclosed yet. But per the reports, Pooran, as the marquee retention, is being paid Rs 21 crore, while the other two capped retentions, Ravi Bishnoi and Mayank Yadav, will each receive Rs 11 crore. Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan, the uncapped retentions, receive Rs 4 crore each.
