Manchester Weather: With less than 24 hours left for the fourth Test between India and England, both captains have had a look at the pitch as they addressed the media at the Old Trafford Ground in Manchester. As per a report in Dainik Jagran, the team management along with captain Shubman Gill checked if the pitch is dry like it has been the case in this series or there is any moisture available to suit the pacers.

While India ponders on their playing XI, England have already listed out theirs with Liam Dawson making the side as a forced change replacing young Shoaib Bashir.

As per the Accuweather website, light rain finds itself in the forecast with next five days facing disruptions during gameplay. As per Cricbuzz, this pitch has seen high first-innings totals during the County season, however, with the rain around and overcast conditions, seamers will play a huge role in the match and the Test might not even last five days.

Both Stokes and Gill were quite aggressively vocal in their individual press conferences. England skipper also stated that his team will respond in kind to any aggression from Indian players in the fourth Test starting here from Wednesday, indicating no cessation to the verbal volleys in an intensely fought series.

On the other hand, Gill also fired back slamming the delaying tactic used by the England openers towards end of day three of the Lord's Test, saying coming 90 seconds late to the crease was not within the spirt of the game.

These words from the captains have surely fired up the contest before it's beginning. India trail 2-1 in the five-match series.
