South Africa national cricket team vs Sri Lanka national cricket team match:
Marco Jansen, South Africa's star cricketer produced a historic bowling performance during the first Test against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
The Kingsmead ground in Durban witnessed an enormous performance as Jansen entered record books, having wreaked havoc on the Sri Lankan batting unit on the second day of the first Test match.
South Africa were bowled out for just 191 runs in their first innings after being put into bat first.

However, the left-arm pacer Jansen was at his brilliant best and took seven wickets in just 6.5 overs as Sri Lanka was bowled out for just 42 in 13.5 overs.
Sri Lanka registered their lowest score in Test cricket history. Their innings was also the second shortest ever by any team in the world.

Jansen looked unplayable to Sri Lankan batters as he ended up taking seven wickets in his spell of just 6.5 overs (41 balls). He dismissed Pathum Nissanka, Angelo Matthews, Kamindu Mendis, Dhananjaya de Silva, Prabath Jayasuriya, Vishwa Fernando, and Asitha Fernando.
On the back of his marvellous performance, Jansen equalled the world record for the fastest seven-wicket haul. He is the first player in 120 years to take seven wickets in an innings in less than seven overs.
The only other player to achieve a similar feat was Australia's Hugh Trumble, who took seven wickets while conceding 28 runs in 6.5 overs against England in 1904 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Jansen's memorable performance came a few days after he got a massive IPL deal during the mega auction in Jeddah.

Having left the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jansen will now play for Punjab Kings as the franchise signed him for a whopping amount of INR 7 crore.
Talking about the ongoing Test match between South Africa and Sri Lanka, the hosts went on to take a huge lead of 149 runs. In the first innings, Temba Bavuma was the top run-getter for his side as he played a fighting knock of 70 runs.
