Mayor’s New World T20 Cricket League 2025: Swashbuckling batter Kennar Lewis anchored a stunning innings of 57 runs off just 21 deliveries as the Chicago Raiders triumphed over the Florida Hurricanes in an entertaining final of the Mayor’s New World T20 2025. The Chicago Raiders claimed the title by winning the final by four wickets to claim the championship. The Chicago Raiders went through the tournament without a loss and successfully met the target of 180 runs in 19.1 overs during the final match.

Lewis attacked during the power play, not giving the Hurricanes' bowlers a chance to find their rhythm. The Jamaican smashed five impressive sixes, while Daniel Williams contributed significantly with a score of 27 off 16 balls to support Chicago’s chase.

In the end, it was Aakarshit Gomel, who notched up 35 not out off 23 balls and hit the winning runs to take Chicago Raiders to the trophy. Four bowlers took a wicket each for the Hurricanes.

Earlier, the wicket seemed to play a bit trickily as balls stayed low in the early parts of the game, but opener Ian Dev Singh navigated that phase with technical prowess despite losing his partner in the powerplay and scored 56 runs off 39 balls.

Veteran Dinesh Ramdin was promoted to number three and batted with poise to end up with 45 off 32 before Damion Joachim managed a well-built 31 runs as the Hurricanes posted 180 on board.

Shenan Jayasuriya, Manan Sharma and Rishi Dhawan took a wicket each for Chicago Raiders in the final.
