IND vs SL, 1st ODI: Pacer Mohammed Shiraz received his maiden cap for the first ODI against India on Friday in Colombo.
He has replaced Matheesha Pathirana, who was ruled out from the series due to an injury. Shiraz has performed brilliantly in domestic cricket both with the bat and ball.
Who is Mohammed Shiraz?
His performance in domestic cricket has been quite brilliant as he has taken 80 wickets after playing in 47 list A matches at an average of 17.52. He has taken 125 wickets after playing in 49 first-class cricket matches and has bowled at a brilliant economy rate of 3.65 and an average of 31.

At the same time, he also has taken 23 wickets after playing in as many T20I matches in domestic tournaments.
He usually plays for the Burgher Recreation Club in Major Clubs Limited over tournaments, where he recently performed brilliantly as he took six wickets and conceded 21 runs against Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club, his best List A bowling figures.
