Rohit, who is the Mumbai-based franchise's highest run-getter in the tournament's history entered their ongoing match against LSG after scoring consecutive fifties against teams like Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad but couldn't do much against LSG.
Mayank, post getting smacked for two consecutive sixes, then finally got Rohit out on the fifth ball during the third over. Rohit, who tried to go big, was caught by Prince Yadav, who was standing at the short third. In his knock, he also stitched a 33-run partnership for the first wicket with Ryan Rickleton.
2 changes for MI
The Hardik Pandya-led side included two changes to their playing XI for their IPL match against LSG in their backyard. New Zealand's white-ball skipper Mitchell Santner and spinner Vignesh Puthur were dropped and were replaced by Corbin Bosch and Karn Sharma.
Although Bosch is playing in his debut IPL match, Karna last featured for the hosts during their IPL match against SRH. But, unfortunately, he had sustained an injury in that clash and couldn't bowl any more overs. Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is one of the impact players along with Robin Minz, Reece Topley, Raj Angad Bawa, and Satyanarayan Raju.
LSG too made a few changes to their playing XI as Mayank Yadav replaced Shardul Thakur and David Miller is one of the impact players.
