JE Sports Desk: Two of the most revered figures in world cricket - MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are among the most followed celebrities in India. With a huge following behind them, brands and collaborators spend a lot if they wish to have even one of them on board for a project.
As per a report by Stockgro, both Kohli and Dhoni have a total net-worth of Rs 1000 crore individually. If one goes into specifics - Kohli has a staggering net-worth of 1050 cr, whereas Dhoni is marginally behind at 1040 cr which is 10 cr less than the latter.

Kohli has the highest net worth among international players. He earns Rs 7 crore annually from his 'A+' contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This contract category is the highest grade in the BCCI's central contracts. He gets a match fee for each Test match is Rs 15 lakh, for each One Day International (ODI) match it is Rs 6 lakh, and for each T20 International (T20I) match, it is Rs 3 lakh.

The 34-year-old cricketer receives Rs 15 crore per year for playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB is one of the franchises in the IPL.

On the other hand, Dhoni's earns a fee of Rs 12 crore from his franchise CSK. His investment in companies, social media fees, brands owned and real estate investments take his net worth over 1000 crore.

Dhoni was appointed as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural season of the IPL and led the team until 2020. Under his captaincy, CSK won the IPL title three times (in 2010, 2011, and 2018) and became one of the most consistent teams in the tournament.
