Legendary cricketer MS Dhoni was in attendance during the US Open quarterfinal between world number one Carlos Alcaraz of Spain and Germany's Alexander Zverev at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York on Wednesday.
The official broadcaster of the US Open, Sony Sports Network, shared the video on social media revealing that Dhoni attended the quarterfinal clash of this year's final Grand Slam.
"Like us, MS Dhoni is a tennis fan too. Indian cricket sensation Mahendra Singh Dhoni was in the audience for the quarter-final clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev," the broadcaster captioned the video on X, formerly Twitter.

Dhoni, who is the only captain to lift all ICC titles including the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy, himself plays tennis. He also won the men's doubles title at Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Tennis Championship last year.
Coming back to the US Open semi-final, Alcaraz thrashed Alexander Zverev 6-3 6-2 6-4 to book a semi-final berth in the hardcourt Grand Slam after winning the Wimbledon 2023 title.
Daniil Medvedev, the 2021 winner, overcame brutal heat and fellow Russian Andrey Rublev 6-4 6-3 6-4 to set up a Friday meeting with defending champion Alcaraz.

Three-time champion Novak Djokovic and 20-year-old Ben Shelton booked their spots on Tuesday.
A clash between the last two U.S. Open winners Alcaraz and Medvedev is an obvious attraction but Djokovic and Shelton is perhaps the more intriguing - the 23-times Grand Slam winner going up against the fearless Shelton, who has said his approach will be to close his eyes and swing away.
