MS Dhoni Compares Deepak Chahar To A Drug, Quips 'I Won't See Him Matured In My Lifetime'

JE Sports Desk: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni and fast bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar are known to have a great bond on and off the field. There are several videos of Dhoni pulling Chahar's leg or even scolding him during IPL matches. However, their 'bond' has remained intact as Chahar holds his captain in high regard.

During an event, Dhoni also opened up on his bond with Chahar with an interesting comment. In his comment, he compared Chahar to a drug and joked that he won't see him maturing in his lifetime.

The 42-year-old was in Chennai on Sunday to attend the trailer and audio launch event of the Tamil film ‘Let’s Get Married’ (LGM) which will be produced under the Dhoni Entertainment banner.

“Deepak Chahar is like a drug, if he is not there, you would think, where is he - if he is around, you would think, why he is here - good part is that he is maturing but he takes time & that is the problem, in my lifetime, I won’t see him matured (smiles)," said the CSK captain.

Dhoni admitted that he was adopted by the people of Chennai, as he recalled some of the biggest milestones of his career came in the city.

“My Test debut was in Chennai, My highest Test score was in Chennai, now my first production movie in Tamil - Chennai is more special to me, I was adopted here long back," said the 42-year-old.
