MS Dhoni News: Former Indian captain MS Dhoni inaugurated the opening of the Velammal Cricket Stadium near Chintamani in Madurai on Thursday, which saw a barrage of fans coming out to see one of the nation's biggest sports figures. Dhoni, reportedly, flew into Madurai from Mumbai on a private flight. Notably, after the MA Chidambaram Stadium, this is the largest stadium in Tamil Nadu. As per IANS, the stadium is estimated at a cost of Rs 300 crore covering 12.5 acres and is poised to become an important center for cricket in the area.
The three-time ICC title-winning captain received a warm welcome from excited fans who had been waiting at the airport since early morning. This event marked his first public appearance in Madurai, making it an even more memorable occasion for his supporters in Tamil Nadu.
Upon landing, Dhoni was driven to the venue in a white car bearing his iconic jersey number ‘7’, with tight police security arranged to manage the large crowds.

The Velammal Cricket Stadium of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has a seating capacity of 7,300, with plans to expand it to 20,000 in the future.
MS Dhoni - A Trained Drone Pilot Now!
Recently, Dhoni completed his drone pilot training, which was praised by the netizens. Former India captain completed his course from Garuda Aerospace, India’s leading drone manufacturer and DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in Chennai, of which he is also brand ambassador.

After completing the rigorous training program, Dhoni is now certified to fly drones, highlighting their potential to transform India’s growth story.
