MS Dhoni stats in IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings had a disappointing campaign in the IPL 2025 but ended it on a positive note, winning two out of their last three matches, including a victory over the Gujarat Titans in their final league match on Sunday.
The focus once again was completely on MS Dhoni, not only because of the speculations regarding his future after the tournament, but also after he took over the captaincy role midway, with regular skipper Ruturaj getting ruled out. On the back of four wins and eight points after 14 matches, CSK finished last in the standings.
CSK kicked off their campaign in a magnificent fashion, winning their first match of the season. However, they went on to lose twice against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the Rajasthan Royals, and the Punjab Kings. Their only wins came against Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans.
MS Dhoni performance in IPL 2025
MS Dhoni's batting performance was a major talking point in the IPL 2025, and the veteran decided to bat way down the order even in the crucial times. Dhoni ended his IPL 2025 campaign with 196 runs to his name in 13 innings at a strike rate of 135.17.
He smashed 12 fours and 12 sixes in the season, while striking at 151.72 in the death overs.
Dhoni's highest score in the tournament was his 30-run contribution, which he reached twice, against Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. His best outing was against the LSG when he smashed 11-ball 26 in the run chase, helping his side register a thrilling win.
Dhoni might not have been as sharp behind the wickets during the end part of his stellar career, but the CSK legend provided a few jaw-dropping moments. The 43-year-old Dhoni took five catches and completed as many stumpings this season as well.
