Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is on his way to recovering from his knee issues as his wife provided a major update regarding the current status of his recovery.

Dhoni's wife Sakshi, in an event, was asked by multiple fans about the well-being of Chennai Super Kings skipper.

A fan in the video can be heard asking 'How is Mahi Bhai' to which she calmly replied after showing thumbs up sign, "He is recovering, he is in rehab."

Her response received a loud cheer as if the fans went crazy on knowing that Dhoni will soon be on the cricket field to entertain millions and billions of his fans.

Dhoni has been at the top of the headline for a few days especially as he has been seen a lot lately after leading Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to a fifth IPL win, the CSK captain underwent a successful knee surgery in Mumbai.

He was then seen in an encounter with an air hostess who offered him chocolates and a note. A few days ago, former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad visited him in Ranchi and shared a video of MSD's ultra-unique bike showroom.

The former Indian skipper is expected to make a comeback on the field in the IPL next year after he hinted at his return in reply to the rumors of his retirement earlier this year.

"Circumstantially, if you see, this is the best time to announce my retirement. But the amount of love and affection I have been shown wherever I have been this year, the easy thing would be for me to say 'Thank you very much', but the tough thing for me is to work hard for another nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL," Dhoni had said while talking to Harsha Bhogle at the post-match presentation of IPL 2023 final.

"A lot depends on the body. I have six-seven months to decide. It will be more like a gift from my side; it's not easy for me, but that's a gift. The way they've shown their love and affection, I think that's something I need to do for them," he added.
