Mumbai Indians Squad, WPL 2026 Auction: Two-time champions (2023 and 2025), Mumbai Indians enter the auction today as defending champions. They have retained five players from that winning team. MI has Rs 5.75 crore to spend on new players. With a maximum squad size of 18, MI can add 13 more players, including four overseas and nine Indian. However, the five retentions mean MI has no RTM cards available at the auction.
Out of 194 Indian players, 52 of them are capped, while 83 overseas players feature 66 capped players. In total, 17 players, including seven overseas players, were retained across all franchises, and they will have a combined purse of Rs 41.1 crore to spend at the auction.
Each franchise will be allowed to build a squad of upto 18 players. A total of 73 slots have to be filled, including 23 overseas slots, across five franchises
