New Zealand vs Netherlands Highlights, ODI World Cup 2023: New Zealand Beat Netherlands By 99 Runs

New Zealand have defeated the Netherlands by 99 runs as they keep the winning momentum, having emerged victorious in the two matches they have played so far in the World Cup. 

Wicket! There's the five-wicket haul for Santner.  Clearly past the outside edge as Klein was trapped in front. It's three reds in the ball-tracking as well. Netherlands go eight down.

Wicket! Santner is putting on a show here as he takes fourth wicket. van der Merwe departs for 1 as Netherlands go seven down.

Wicket! Edwards gets down low to slog sweep but miscues it. It took a top edge and Santner did well to hold onto that. Netherlands lose sixth wicket.

Wicket! This is a big blow to the Netherlands. Ackermann was well set for a big one here but fell prey to Santner. Netherlands go five down.

Wicket! Horrible mix-up leads to another wicket. Nidamanuru is run out as the Netherlands lose their fourth wicket. Latham made no mistake in taking the bails off after receiving the throw.

These two have done well so far for a short but steady partnership as they take the team score past 100. Netherlands need both batters to score big in order to stand a chance in the contest.

Wicket! Brilliant from Boult in the deep. He is a great outfielder and here's another example of that. Bas de Leede tried to clear the boundary but failed to do so. Netherlands lose thrid wicket as de Leede departs for 18. 

Wicket! ODowd departs. He played it to deep there and was trapped in front. It was the umpires call as shown by the ball-tracking but he decision will remain out due to on-field call. Santner strikes to give his team a second wicket. 

Wicket! Knocks him over. Vikramjit Singh didn't look very confident at the crease today as he missed that completely with the ball getting through his defence to hit the stumps. First wicket goes down.

An expected brilliant first over from Trent Boult as the Dutch begin their run chase. Just two runs came off it.

That's the perfect finish for the Blackcaps. 21 runs came off that last over as Santner displayed some serious hitting and remained unbeaten on 36 runs in just 17 balls. The Netherlands will have to chase down 323 in order to register their first win in the tournament.

Wicket!  Good catch and Chapman goes now. The Netherlands are doing well here with wickets in quick succession. New Zealand go six down now.

Wicket!  Edged and gone. The Netherlands are fighting back here. Glenn Phillips goes for a big drive on the delivery that was well outside off and managed to edge the ball. Skipper Edwards made not mistake as New Zealand lose their fifth wicket

Wicket! Another batter fails to convert a good innings into a big one. The off-cutter slower ball gets the better of Daryl Mitchell. van Meekeren takes his second wicket.

Brilliant over for the batting side. After playing three dot balls early in the over, he finished it with three boundaries to end it as a good over with 12 runs for his team.

Wicket! Skipper Edwards did well to grab that down the leg side. Merwe gets his second wicket as he removes Ravindra just after half-century.

Rachin Ravindra has made the number three spot his own in the absence of Kane Willamson. The New Zealand think-tank will have have a good headache to deal with when the New Zealand captain returns to the side. 

New Zealand is looking good for a big total here at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Will Young departs after a fine innings of 70. The NZ batter tried to pull one away against Bas de Leede, but only managed to get a top edge which was caught at Mid-on.

The New Zealand batsmen appear composed in the middle. Will Young notches his sixth ODI fifty and seems set for a big innings. While the Netherlands have managed to keep things relatively quiet for now, they must take wickets before New Zealand seizes control of the game.

After a challenging start, New Zealand have made a strong comeback in the game. They have managed to score 43 runs in the subsequent four overs, with both Will and Conway finding their form and dispatching the ball to various parts of the park.
