In sports, it is not uncommon for enthusiastic fans to occasionally break through the security barricades to have a closer look at their sporting heroes or simply to soak in the atmosphere. Yet, amidst these daring episodes, one name has been persistent in cricket's folklore - Jarvo. But who exactly is Jarvo, and what's behind the widespread fascination with this enigmatic figure?
The Return of Jarvo
Jarvo, whose real name is Daniel Jarvis, is an English YouTuber, comedian, filmmaker, and part-time pitch invader. He first gained notoriety during the England-India Test series in 2021 when he invaded the pitch not once or twice but three times. His audacity and persistence caught the attention of cricket fans worldwide.
Surprisingly, Jarvo's latest appearance took place in a high-stakes India-Australia World Cup match in Chennai on October 8. Despite stringent security measures and cage-like iron panels surrounding Indian cricket grounds, Jarvo managed to make his presence felt.
In a viral photograph, Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli and a member of India's support staff can be seen escorting Jarvo out of the ground. Interestingly, no video footage of the incident has surfaced yet.

What added an extra layer of curiosity was that Jarvo was wearing an Indian jersey with the number 69 on the back. It is worth remembering that Jarvo was wearing the Number 69 test match t-shirt in the England-India test match also when he invaded the pitch.
