The Indian men's cricket team has arrived in Pune after their impressive victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023. India has secured three consecutive wins in the tournament and is set to face Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
As the Indian team members disembarked from their flight, enthusiastic fans had gathered outside the airport, chanting "India, India" to welcome their cricket heroes. The victory over Pakistan was a dominant one, with key contributions from several players, including a brilliant bowling performance by Jasprit Bumrah.
In the match against Pakistan, Bumrah was one of five Indian bowlers to take two wickets each. Their collective effort led to a first-innings collapse, with Pakistan losing eight wickets for just 36 runs. Rohit Sharma's superb innings at the top of the order ensured a comfortable run chase for India, with Shreyas Iyer scoring the winning runs.
